111-8 High Point Lake Dam
Downstream: Main Street Bridge (Jamestown)
In High Point Lake is where the East Fork and the West Fork of the Deep River meet. The lake was built in the 1920’s. Also under the lake, but up the East Fork is the old site of the Lamb Mill and gunsmith shop. It was near where East Fork Road crosses the lake, according to Miller (1908).
Saville (1924) recommended a 40 foot dam for this location. High Point Lake Dam was built in 1928.
